Minister of Education and Sports to release UBTEB May/June 2018 Examinations Results

Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board is pleased to inform the public that the Minister of Education and Sports shall release the May/June 2018 examinations’ results on 3rd  October 2018 at UBTEB Secretariat at 11 a.m. This is the 12th end of programme Examination results being released by the Minister of Education and Sports. Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board (UBTEB) conducted May/June 2018 Examinations series for over 7,588 (3,248 Female & 4,340 Male) students registered from 135 examination centres on 18th May to Friday 15th June, 2018.

The results to be released on 3rd October 2018 by the Minister of Education and Sports include candidates who completed their studies in the following programmes;

  • Technical Diploma programmes
  • Business Diploma programmes
  • Busines Certificate programmes
  • Physical and Biological Diploma programmes
  • Physical and Biological Certificate programmes

The Board is proud to register continuous improvement in the number of candidates registered in each examinations’ series and this exhibits that Ugandans are appreciating technical and vocational courses. This increase in the number of candidates registered by the Board is in line with the skilling Uganda strategic plan’s objective number 3 on the need to increase equitable access to skills development through increased access to formal training Business, Technical, Vocational Education and Training. The Board is committed to ensuring increased awareness on BTVET career opportunities for job creation and socio-economic transformation in partnership with stakeholders including the media, civil society and the general public.

The Board is committed to continue registering  big numbers of candidates in BTVET  programmes in line with our mandate to streamline and regulate examinations and awards for Business, Technical and specialized professions in Uganda as per the statutory Instrument No.09, 2009. The Board re-affirms its commitment to ensuring quality assessment for appropriate skills development for socio-economic transformation and national development.
